from William Wordsworth's Dove Cottage, Allen Bank which is perfect if you would like to see Red Squirrels and with a short drive to Ambleside (4 miles), you can take a boat trip on Lake Windermere.

Easedale TarnEasedale Tarn is a favourite walk of mine in the centre of the English Lake District, about two miles west of the village of Grasmere. It lies in a hollow between Tarn Crag to the north and Blea Rigg to the south, about 910 feet or 280 metres above sea level. – See on the ordanence survey map which you may borrow during your stay

St Oswalds ChurchA delightful church just down the road from Ospey accommodation. It was founded by Oswald of Northumbria, King of Northumbria, in 642. The present church stands on or near the same site, and is dedicated to him. It dates from the 14th century, and was doubled in size by the addition of a parallel nave to the north of the original nave between 1490 and 1500.
